Gen V: Trailer For The Boys Spin-Off Officially Released

Get ready to return to the world of The Boys. Amazon has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming spin-off series, titled Gen V. The show will take place at a university for aspiring superheroes. It also looks like it’s going to be just as violent and irreverent as the flagship show. Be warned: This trailer is full-on red band and NSFW. Check it out.

The trailer introduces us to the new heroes we’ll meet while taking a trip through this university for superheroes. It’s a very different setting than The Boys, which looks like it will make for a very different sort of show. That said, they don’t skimp on the blood, violence, or dark humor here. This very much looks in line with what fans of the show want to see at this point. It should do a good job of filling the void until The Boys season 4 arrives.

Here is the synopsis for Gen V.

“Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes—preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when super powers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they’re put to the test: Will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?”

The cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Marco Pigossi, Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert and Jason Ritter. Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and P.J. Byrne will also be guest stars, reprising their roles from The Boys. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Nelson Cragg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, Michaela Starr and Eric Kripke also serve as executive producers

Gen V premieres September 29 on Amazon Prime Video.
