Over the weekend, DC FanDome took place giving fans a massive online event to help fill the void. San Diego Comic-Con tried something similar with Comic-Con@Home last month. But, the general consensus is that DC brought the goods and made it worth everyone’s time. Much of that had to do with the big reveals, specifically trailers, that were showcased during the event.
The event featured a full day of online panels covering upcoming DC Films releases, video games, TV and more. Several huge trailers, such as Wonder Woman 1984, The Snyder Cut and yes, The Batman, debuted during the event. For those who might have missed out, here are all of the biggest trailers that dropped during DC FanDome.
Wonder Woman 1984
One of the first panels that kicked off the event showcased director Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984. The filmmaker and the cast, including Gal Gadot, previewed the upcoming sequel and dished details on what to expect. The panel closed with a new trailer that finally reveals Kristen Wiig as Cheetah.
Gotham Knights
Batman is dead! WB Games Montreal has been suspected of working on a new Batman video game for a long time now. In a way, that turned out to be true as Gotham Knights was revealed during DC FanDome. The game will center on Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl and Red Hood are now tasked with protecting Gotham City following Bruce Wayne’s death. We got not only a trailer, but a huge look at gameplay footage as well. The game arrives in 2021.
The Suicide Squad
Arguably, were it not for a certain movie starring Robert Pattinson, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad was the thing fans were most excited to learn about during the event. Gunn did not disappoint. We finally learned who everyone in the massive cast of the film will be playing, including the reveal of Idris Elba as Bloodsport. We also got a behind-the-scenes featurette, which previews the insanity to come in next year’s DC Comics adaptation.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League

After years of anticipation, we finally got a good look at the fabled Snyder Cut over the weekend. Director Zack Snyder delivered a full-length trailer for his version of Justice League, which is finally making its way to HBO Max sometime next year. It will be released in four, one-hour chunks, making for a much longer and, based on the footage, markedly different experience.
The Flash Season 7
TV wasn’t a huge focus of DC FanDome but we did get a glimpse of what’s to come in The Flash Season 7. The CW series will be picking up with what should have been an episode of season 6. But because filming was interrupted, it will instead serve as the action-packed start to season 7. As we can see, Barry Allen is going to have his hands full.
Black Adam
While nothing has been filmed yet Dwayne Johnsons brought a first look at Black Adam to the event during his virtual panel. We get a sense for what events transpired to bring his version of the villain to the big screen. We also get to see who will make up the Justice Society, a classic DC hero team who will be included in the film.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Rocksteady also brought a brand new video game to the festivities in the form of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The game sees Task Force X in Metropolis having to contend with a seemingly unstoppable enemy; Superman. While the game won’t arrive until 2022, it is set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games, and we expect to see more members of the Justice League as development rolls on.
The Batman
This is it. The cream of the crop. Director Matt Reeves descended on DC FanDome by revealing our first look at The Batman. Robert Pattinson’s version of the iconic hero was finally unveiled in a full-length trailer, which came as a huge surprise. Especially since only about a quarter of the film has been shot so far. But Reeves managed to assemble a comprehensive trailer that promises a gritty, brutal take on the franchise.
