Justice League: Endless Winter Preview Released by DC

DC Comics has released a preview of Justice League: Endless Winter. Announced in September, this is set to be the publisher’s next major event, which will kick off in September. It will span across many titles, with some special tie-in books released as well. These new preview pages offer a glimpse at what’s coming down the pipeline. Have a look.

We have a lot of wordless art. Without context, it is tough to extract a great deal of information. What is clear is that this first round of books will be action-packed. The first three chapters include Justice League: Endless Winter #1, The Flash #767 and Superman: Endless Winter Special #1. We also have synopses for all three books, which read as follows.

Justice League: Endless Winter #1

The crossover event of the season begins here! The Justice League encounters an extinction-level global storm brewing at the former site of the Fortress of Solitude. Enter the Frost King, a monster mad with power with an army at his command! What devastating mystery lies in his past? And how is the Frost King tied to Queen Hippolyta, Swamp Thing, Viking Prince, and their reluctant ally, Black Adam? Two timelines will reveal further clues and secrets throughout each chapter of this blockbuster tale!”

The Flash #767

As the world’s heroes rush to stop the freezing conditions running rampant across the globe, the Fastest Man Alive speeds directly into Black Adam. With the planet losing hope, the Flash and Kahndaq’s ruler must find a way to work together, while a story from Black Adam’s past reveals his connection to the threat that now returns to end the world with freezing ice and fearsome frost.”

Superman: Endless Winter Special #1

Superman finds himself at the center of an epic battle as the Frost King’s hordes of ice monsters come to life. Is this frozen onslaught too much for the Man of Steel, or can he stop it before it rampages across the chilling wasteland the world is becoming and reaches civilization? The answer to this question comes from an unlikely source close to Clark Kent’s earthly roots!”

Ron Marz and Andy Lanning co-wrote all nine issues of the main series. While much of the plot is being kept under wraps for the time being, an ancient evil is about to awaken in the pages of DC Comics.

Justice League: Endless Winter kicks off on December 8.
