Sweet Tooth Final Season Trailer Released By Netflix

Netflix has released a new trailer for the third and final season of Sweet Tooth. The show, which is based on the DC Comics series of the same name, is approaching its end. After three seasons of adventures with the deer boy Gus, it’s nearly time to say goodbye. But not after one last journey, which we get a glimpse of here. Check it out.

Warner Bros. is looking to keep most of its DC TV shows on Max in the coming years. That said, there have been exceptions. Netflix is also home to shows like The Sandman, which is gearing up for a second season, as well as Dead Boy Detectives, which is set in the same universe as Doom Patrol. This is yet another exception for WB, but since it’s set outside of the main DC Universe where heroes such as Batman and Superman reside, this made a little more sense on another streamer.

Here is the synopsis for Sweet Tooth season 3.

“Having defeated General Abbot in the battle at Pubba’s Cabin, Gus, Jepperd, Becky, and Wendy embark on a journey to Alaska in search of Gus’s mother, Birdie, who has been working to uncover the mysterious origins of the deadly Sick. Along the way, they are joined by Dr. Singh, who may have his own dangerous beliefs about Gus and his role in reversing the virus. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges in the form of Helen Zhang, her daughter Rosie, and the ferocious Wolf Boys, who seek to restart human birth and view Gus as the solution to their plans. As they navigate through perilous terrain, Gus and his group of friends find refuge at the Outpost in Alaska, where they meet a new ensemble of characters including Siana and her hybrid daughter Nuka. With the clock to find answers running out, alliances are tested and destinies intertwine, all leading to a thrilling climax that will determine the fate of humanity and hybrids.”

Sweet Tooth premiered on Netflix in 2021. It is based on the comic book series of the same name created by Jeff Lemire, which debuted in 2009. The series was originally set up at Hulu but eventually moved to Netflix. Something similar happened with the Locke & Key TV series. But Hulu’s loss proved to be Netflix’s gain in this case.

“In a lot of ways, it’s exactly the story that I imagined we would tell, and in a lot of ways it takes on its own life,” showrunner Jim Mickle said of the new season. “At the beginning, I think you set out to tell these landmark pieces of Gus’ story and the big pieces of the comic book, but the beauty of long-form storytelling and Gus’ journey over 24 episodes is the characters themselves tell you what they want to be. The crew and cast bring so much depth and point of view to who the characters are and where they’ve come from and where they’re going.”

The cast includes Christian Convery as Gus, Nonso Anozie as Tommy Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Aditya Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Becky, Naledi Murray as Wendy, Amy Seimetz as Gertrude “Birdie” Miller, Rosalind Chao as Helen Zhang, Kelly Marie Tran as Rosie, Cara Gee as Siana, Ayazhan Dalabayeva as Nuka and James Brolin as Narrator. Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran serve as executive producers alongside Mickle.

Sweet Tooth season 3 premieres June 6 on Netflix.
