The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Trailer Released By Netflix

Netflix has released a new trailer for The Umbrella Academy season 3. It’s been quite the long break between the show’s second season and its return this summer. But the wait is almost over and we now have a much better idea of what we’re in for when our heroes return. It turns out that messing with the timeline has major consequences. Have a look.

The show’s second season debuted on Netflix in July 2020. Thanks to the pandemic, the third season took a full two years to get here. One of the biggest changes this time around will be the addition of Elliot Page to the cast. Formerly Ellen Page, the actor came out as transgender in December 2020.

Here is the synopsis for The Umbrella Academy season 3.

“After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?”

The cast also includes Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Colm Feore, Ritu Arya, Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton and Jordan Claire Robbins. The creative team is led by Steve Blackman as Showrunner/EP, with Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg and Jeremy Webb also serving as executive producers. Co-creators of the Umbrella Academy comics Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá are on board as co-Executive Producers, with Steve Wakefield and DJ Carson serving as producers.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 arrives on Netflix on June 22.
