Superman & Lois Season 2 Trailer Released by The CW

Heads up, DC fans! The CW had released the first trailer for Superman & Lois season 2. The show had a very successful first season as part of the ArrowVerse. It finally gave Tyler Hoeclin and Elizabeth Tulloch, who had been part of the universe as Superman and Lois Lane for quite some time, the chance to shine as series leads. The network was quite happy with the results and gave the show an early season 2 pickup. Now, we’ve got our first look at what’s coming.

Superman & Lois Season 2 Trailer

As we can see, the trailer offers a lot to process. Mainly, Superman and Lois Lane are at odds here. Things are not all well in Smallville. Beyond that, Clark is struggling with some demons, and that creates tension. It looks like the show’s second season is going to go the dark and gritty route. Whether or not that lasts beyond the first few episodes remains to be seen though.

Here is the synopsis for Superman & Lois.

In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and  Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

The cast includes Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as The Stranger, Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge with Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing. Greg Berlanti and odd Helbing executive produce the show alongside Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and David Madden.

Some new additions to the cast this year include Ian Bohen as Lt. Mitch Anderson. We get a healthy dose of him in the footage. Jenna Dewan will also return as Lois Lane’s younger sister Lucy Lane. Dewan previously played the part on Supergirl

Superman & Lois season 2 premieres on The CW on January 11.
