A brand new trailer for Marvel's The Punisher has arrived! Unlike the previous trailers, it reveals exactly when the series will arrive.
For some time, it was heavily rumored that Marvel and Netflix were eyeing a mid-October launch for The Punisher. But after the tragic events in Las Vegas earlier in the month, they decided against it. They also removed the show from New York Comic-Con out of respect for the victims.
The new trailer reveals that all 13 episodes of The Punisher will be available on Netflix beginning on November 17, 2017.
The trailer also offers plenty of never-before-seen footage from The Punisher. It opens with a flashback to a confrontation between Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) and Rawlins (Paul Schulze) that took place in Afghanistan. During the fight, Castle punches Rawlins hard enough to leave a mark on his face. Ben Barnes' Billy Russo also shows up in the scene.
In another scene, Jason R. Moore's Curtis Hoyle gives Frank and Micro (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) some friendly advice. Next, we see Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) as she investigates Castle. That doesn't end well for her, as a truck hits her car during a chase. Then we see Frank carrying a bloodied Dinah and telling someone:
Stay out of the way. This is not your fight.
The trailer includes even more new footage, most of which is seriously violent. At one point, we see the titular anti-hero and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page as they’re caught in an explosion, and then a very rare display of caring on Frank’s part. In another sequence, Micro stands between The Punisher's Battle Van and wall-amounted armory.
