Marvel’s Agatha All Along Teaser Trailer Officially Released

Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for Agatha All Along. Previously known as Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Agatha: House of Harkness, this is the long-awaited WandaVision spin-off series starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. It looks like Marvel Studios going full-on horror for the first time since Werewolf by Night. Agatha and Wanda won’t be the only witches in the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon, that much is certain. Check it out.

The trailer kicks off for what looks like a cop show, not unlike True Detective. We quickly discover that Agatha has been trapped without her powers thanks to Wanda, aka the Scarlet Witch. But Aubrey Plaza’s character shows up to snap her out of it. Agatha then sets out to assemble a group of witches to go on a mysterious, magic-filled quest. There are monsters, sorcery and lots of exploring the darker, mystical corners of the MCU.

Disney+ will premiere the first two episodes of the series in September. This is one of three new Marvel shows arriving on the streaming service in 2024 following the Hawkeye spin-off Echo and the animated X-Men ‘97. The spin-off comes more than three years after WandaVision became the first live-action series set within the MCU. It may be a little late but it’s still arriving nonetheless.

Here is the synopsis for Agatha All Along.

“In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”

This is one of two spin-offs that came out of WandaVision. A solo series focused on Vision is still in development as well. Aside from that, Marvel Studios has Wonder Man, Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again on deck. Those are all expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer, who was one of the chief creative forces behind WandaVision, directs the pilot episode. The cast also includes Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum,  Mary Livanos and Schaeffer serve as executive producers. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero also directed episodes of the series.

Agatha All Along premieres September 18 on Disney+.
