Team Iron Man
Okay, this one’s a little bit far-fetched – we realize that – but, given that Captain Marvel will be one of the first new superheroes to appear since the events of Captain America: Civil War (Doctor Strange will be the first, but he tends to operate a bit more discreetly), what if Team Iron Man were to be the antagonists in her movie?
In the comic books, Carol Danvers uses her powers for good quite openly. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, now that the Sokovia Accords are in place, Tony Stark, his team, and the government might take umbrage to that and try to stop her with the intention of forcing her to register as a superhero.
If she were presented as being able to fend off Iron Man’s entire team, it would really establish her as a big player in the MCU, and she could become an incredibly powerful member of the Avengers going forward as a result.
