DC Comics Solicitations for November Reveal Teen Titans, Suicide Squad & More Are Canceled

The DC bloodbath continues. As reported by GamesRadar, the publisher has canceled several titles. The news was revealed in November’s DC Comics solicitations. Teen Titans, Young Justice, Suicide Squad, Hawkman and John Constantine: Hellblazer are all ending in November. Additionally, it seems like Aquaman may be done as well. This comes after the recent cancellations of Batgirl, Batman and The Outsiders.

Though not specifically billed as a final issue, the solicit for Aquaman #65 calls it a “finale,” so this book may be on the way out as well. It seems this iteration of Arthur Curry is washed up. Overall, it’s adding to a larger developing narrative.

DC recently experienced a huge wave of layoffs. Not only on the publishing side, but the collectibles business and the DC Universe streaming service were hit hard. That adds new meaning to what we’re seeing in the latest batch of DC Comics solicitations

Here is the synopsis for Teen Titans #47.

“Robin betrayed them. Superboy abandoned them. Now the only Teen Titans left are Crush, Kid Flash, Red Arrow, and Roundhouse. As the teen heroes wrap up what may be their final mission, they’re going to get some unexpected encouragement from a group that knows a little about how hard it is to be heroes. Special guest stars the original Titans prove there may still be some good this team can do in the future.”
