The first official trailer for Marvel's Inhumans was a letdown for many fans, but a new trailer has made its way online after its debut at San Diego Comic-Con International. It doesn't necessarily qualify as jaw-dropping, but it's better than the first one.
One of the highlights is that we finally get to see Medusa's hair come to life. We've heard a lot about Serinda Swan's character’s prehensile hair, but didn't see it in action during the first trailer, in which she appeared to be a damsel in distress. The new trailer provides brief glimpses of her hair with Iwan Rheon's Maximus in a chokehold. She looks pretty badass!
The trailer also offers a first look at Mike Moh's Triton, who is on Earth in search of Inhumans. He didn’t show up in the first trailer or the Inhuman Royal Family group shot, and he’s frankly not terribly impressive-looking!
In addition to the characters mentioned above, the new Inhumans trailer features Anson Mount's Black Bolt, Eme Ikwuakor's Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish's Crystal, Ken Leung's Karnak, and Sonya Balmores' Auran. Check it out!
At the new series' SDCC panel, executive producer Jeph Loeb revealed Ellen Woglom’s role (via The Hollywood Reporter). Her character, Louise, is "from Earth, but has some special knowledge". She doesn't exhibit any special powers, but she’s been exposed to Terrigen Mist. Those who've watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. know that Terrigan Mist alters Inhuman biology. When Black Bolt learns that it’s appeared on Earth, he sends his cousin Triton to investigate and rescue the Inhumans.
