Cyborg (3 April 2020)

Cyborg was one of the big surprises of the initial DCEU slate announcement, but it won’t be an origin story. And besides the return of Ray Fisher as the titular superhero (after appearances in Justice League and The Flash), we really know nothing about the movie.

So will it happen? I doubt it. After the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. said that they were testing the character in order to see the how audiences responded. And this is the reason why Cyborg will also appear in The Flash.

So if the initial plan saw him starring in his standalone flick, now he is just being tested. And, given the rumors of a Teen Titans movie, maybe a Cyborg standalone flick shouldn’t happen. Maybe Warner Bros. should bet on an ensemble movie – as Suicide Squad proved, ensemble flicks work pretty well at the box office, if nothing else.

No, I don’t think Cyborg will have a movie.
