Identity Crisis

Here is a Justice League story which doesn’t need the presence of a superpowered villain. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t need an actual villain at all – for that matter, even the most uninteresting or minor character could play that part.

And that is because Identity Crisis doesn’t have to be a punch-fest, like Man of Steel was. It can be called, instead, a classic mystery story, in which anybody (from minor characters to the most well-known superheroes) could be the villain.

What is interesting is that such a movie is all about the interaction between the characters and their attempts to find out the truth. Obviously, some proper villains will need to be present (as the usual suspects), but they needn’t be major ones.

A twist can be provided if there is an actual baddie in the shadows, who can push someone to commit murder. But this is too big of a stretch, which will eventually lead into a full blown-out brawl. Identity Crisis shouldn’t be about that.
