Here is an interesting concept for the first Justice League flick, one which perfectly falls on the personality of Lex Luthor. Of course, this storyline cannot be adapted without some major deviations, simply because there are so many characters which need to be introduced. But it can work perfectly otherwise, simply because it won’t be just another action flick, with huge battle set pieces.

Thus, the first movie should be all about the villains (namely Lex Luthor), who schemes against all the Justice League members. But he does that in order to prevent the destruction of the world, destruction which cannot be stopped by the League itself. He doesn’t try to change the public’s opinion about the League. Instead, he simply removes them out-of-the-way, in order to focus on saving the world by any means necessary.

As it will be revealed, Lex Luthor is right to believe that the world will be destroyed. But, while in the comic version Brainiac is the big baddie, the movie might as well switch to having Darkseid working in the shadows. Just have the uber-powerful villain control Lex Luthor, without the latter even suspecting that his fears are actually induced.

Of course, Brainiac could work as well, but we don’t see that happening, simply because the villain will have to appear out of nowhere.
