Production Dates Set for Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad Sequels!

New information concerning Wonder Woman 2 and Suicide Squad 2 production surfaces on web!

It’s been common knowledge for some time that cameras will roll during 2018 for the sequels to Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad. Recent online reports confirmed this, and also offered additional information about the DC Films projects.

Producer Charles Roven confirmed to Comic Book that production for Diana Prince’s second solo outing was set to get underway "sometime this summer". Later, Omega Underground came up with a specific start date of May 28, 2018.

Patty Jenkins and company will travel to the UK to film at Leavesden Studios, where filming took place for the first WW installment. As previously reported, the project’s working title is Magic Hour.

Of course, Gal Gadot is returning as Wonder Woman. Chris Pine, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui are expected to join her. In addition, Wonder Woman 2 will reportedly introduce Kristen Wiig as the villainous Barbara Ann Minerva, aka Cheetah. The movie’s action will take place in a 1980s Cold War setting.

Just like Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2 is also going to shoot primarily in the UK!

An Omega Underground report suggested that production for Suicide Squad 2 will begin at some point in October 2018. This may be relatively old news, but we also learned that director Gavin O'Connor plans to shoot the sequel in the UK. David Ayer shot most of the original movie at Canada’s Pinewood Toronto Studios.

Unlike Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2 still lacks a confirmed release date or an official cast roster. It feels safe to assume that Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, and even Jay Hernandez will return for the sequel.

Kinnaman recently said that the sequel will be "more grounded" and have "less sorcery" than its critically panned – but commercially successful – predecessor. So maybe we shouldn't take the rumor that Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) will appear in the movie as seriously as we originally thought.
