Tickets for all opening weekend screenings are on sale now. However, Paramount also announced that special early screenings will take place in IMAX on Wednesday, June 7 a couple of days before the full theatrical rollout. Fans who are interested simply need to find a showtime in their area and grab tickets while they last. Aside from that, this is expected to be one of the biggest movies of the summer. So those looking to see it on opening weekend would probably do well to grab tickets sooner rather than later.
Here is the synopsis for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
“Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth.”
The Transformers movies have generated nearly $5 billion at the box office to date. With Rise of the Beasts, Paramount is hoping to get things back on track. The hope is that this will be the beginning of a new live-action trilogy. Aside from that, a new animated feature titled Transformers One is set to hit theaters next summer. It will be a prequel with an A-list cast led by Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime.
Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) directed the movie. The human cast is led by Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah). The voice cast includes Peter Cullen returning as Optimus Prime, and Ron Perlman voicing Optimus Primal. Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Airazor, Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) as Mirage, Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) as Scourge, John DiMaggio (Futurama) as Stratosphere, MJ Rodgriguez (Pose) as Nightbird and Cristo Fernandez (Ted Lasso) as Wheeljack round out the ensemble.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hits theaters on June 9. Tickets for the early screenings on June 7 can be purchased at TransformersMovie.com.
