“Coming Soon: Pop! Marvel – X-Men 20th Anniversary,” the post reads.

The X-Men Pop lineup includes Storm, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Wolverine, Logan, Cyclops, Dark Phoenix, Beast, Nightcrawler and Rogue. The post also reveals a couple of retailer exclusives. Target will carry a metallic version of Mystique and Wal-Mart will carry an alternate version of Magneto. The figures are available for pre-order now.

Funko is no stranger to Marvel toys, but this comes at an appropriate time. X-Men turning 20 is a big deal. The film helped to usher in the modern era of superhero adaptations. The movie grossed nearly $300 million at the global box office and paved the way for a franchise that lasted just shy of two decades. In total, the franchise grossed $6 billion at the global box office.

Last year, Disney completed its massive $71 billion merger with Fox. This put the rights to the X-Men franchise in the hands of Marvel Studios. The plan is for the characters to be folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That means a reboot. Last year’s Dark Phoenix, which was the lowest-grossing entry in the history of the series, will serve as the final X-Men movie in that version of the franchise. But considering that we had three different versions of Spider-Man during that time, that is one heck of a run.

Here is the synopsis for X-Men

“They are children of the atom, homo superior, the next link in the chain of evolution. Each was born with a unique genetic mutation, which at puberty manifested itself in extraordinary powers. In a world filled with hate and prejudice, they are feared by those who cannot accept their differences. Led by Xavier the X-Men fight to protect a world that fears them. They are locked in a battle with former colleague and friend, Magneto who believes humans and mutants should never co-exist.”

Those who are interested in getting their hands on the X-Men Pop! figures can head on over to Entertainment Earth to pre-order them now. They retail for $10.99 each. The retailer exclusives are available via Target and Wal-Mart, respectively.
