It looks like Mark Ruffalo's Hulk isn't the only Marvel superhero from Earth that Chris Hemsworth's Norse God of Thunder will meet in Thor: Ragnarok. Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange may appear in the movie, at least for a cameo. The possibility is strongly hinted at by a recent photo from the Taika Waititi flick's set in Brisbane.
Gold Coast Bulletin reports that Hemsworth was recently filmed on the streets of Brisbane looking attentively at an address printed on a card. A close-up photo of the Aussie actor holding the card reveals the address written on the card. It's "177A Bleecker St"!
If you are familiar with Doctor Strange comics, you’ll know that this is the address of the Sorcerer Supreme's New York City residence, the Sanctum Sanctorum. That means that Thor is looking for Doctor Strange in his third standalone movie.
So, will Hemsworth's character meet Cumberbatch's character in Thor: Ragnarok? It doesn't seem unlikely, considering the fact that both Doctor Strange and Thor deal with magic.
But unlike Asgardian magic, which is referred to as some high level science in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, magic won't be explained by science in the case of the Sorcerer Supreme. Check out the set photo below!
A huge number of leaked photos and videos have surfaced on the web from the set of Thor: Ragnarok in the last couple of days. These make it clear that Taika Waititi is using the streets of Brisbane for New York City scenes in his upcoming November 3, 2017 release.
Another interesting fact revealed by these set leaks is that Thor won't be making a trip from Asgard to New York City all alone. His villainous brother, Tom Hiddleston's Loki, will join him. And there's one photo that reveals that Hemsworth has a "LOKI R.I.P." tattoo on his arm! Here are the set photos and videos for you (via Sydney Morning Herald, Comic Book Movie, and Instagram)!
