2. Another victory for the MCU

While it’s not clear how Sony and Marvel will juggle the characters pertaining to Spider-Man’s mythology in the aftermath of the Spidey summit, getting their hands on Spider-Gwen would be nothing but a gain for the MCU.

In fact, a way to root themselves even more in the Spider-Man lore and to bring more of it on the big screen. Granted, it’s OK to have Spider-Man back, but it’s great to aspire to having as much as possible of the Spider-Verse turned into movies by Marvel.

In so many words, a Spider-Gwen movie made by Marvel is a step forward. Perhaps the dealings will end up in a sort of no-man’s-land, as it’s the case with Quicksilver, shared by both Marvel and Fox, each studio creating its own version.
