The inaugural season of Marvel's Daredevil featured Matt Gerald as Melvin Potter - a costume designer who made protective suits for Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk and eventually made the iconic red Daredevil costume. He appeared in four episodes of the season but we didn't get to see his villainous alter-ego from the comic books - the Gladiator.
But it seems like we'll get to see the Gladiator in the upcoming season of the Netflix series! The official Twitter account of Marvel's Daredevil has posted an image that apparently seems to tease the supervillain. The text accompanied with the image – "I gotta be good. So, I make things. I'm good at making things." Here's the tweet for you:

If you are familiar with Daredevil Comics, you are likely to get the vibe from those words in the caption that they come from the Gladiator. Apart from that, the blade in the image with the letters "˜MP' can surely tease nothing else since a key feature of the Gladiator's suit is metal blades and his name is Melvin Potter!
Hit 2 to learn what Marvel CCO said about The Punisher!
The Punisher In Daredevil - Sparks Will Fly!
Frank Castle, aka The Punisher - is a big name from the Marvel Comics who has already had a number of standalone movies. Introducing such a popular superhero in a series based on another superhero isn't an easy task since there is always a question of finding balance and doing justice to each of the two. However, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada is convinced about that.
In a recent interview with IGN, when asked about their plans on balancing screen time between the two Marvel badass superheroes in the upcoming season of Daredevil, Quesada confidently uttered:
"That's why we pay our amazing Writers Room the big bucks. Doug Petrie and Mark Ramirez, the co-showrunners, have concocted an amazing series, an amazing season this year and believe me, sparks will fly and it's going to be pretty phenomenal."
The Marvel official went on to praise The Punisher cast Jon Bernthal who, according to him, is "˜a world-class' actor (he uttered the same words for Daredevil cast Charlie Cox). He also promised that watching Charlie and Bernthal playing the two superheroes on the same screen is going to be something "˜epic, absolutely epic'.

Elektra Cast - She Is The Character!
In the same interview, the Marvel Chief Creative Officer also uttered words of admiration on the Elektra cast for Daredevil - Elodie Yung. According to Quesada, "Literally, we scoured the world for the right Elektra and, man, she is the character. She looks like the character, she walks like the character, and then she has the martial arts training and stunt background that she can rely on."
He further added that it is going to be "˜really, really awesome' to see the G.I. Joe: Retaliation star to take over the role of Elektra, how she embodies and personifies the character. And he uttered for her the same words that he did for Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal - a world-class actor! Well, we can trust his words for the fact that the first season of Daredevil was nothing else than WORLD-CLASS!

Big & Small Screen Heroes - Equally Important!
Daredevil is the first among the four superheroes that are announced to get their own standalone series on Netflix. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are the other three. In the interview, Joe Quesada termed these superheroes of TV as "˜the smaller, darker part of the Marvel Universe'. However, he went on to claim that they are equally important as the Avengers. Here's what he said:
"The Avengers are about saving the world. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and all those other characters, they're about saving a neighborhood, they're about saving a block, they're about saving an apartment complex. So it's smaller, but the stakes still feel the same because they're just as important. To the people living in Hell's Kitchen, saving their neighborhood is as important to the people in Manhattan when aliens start coming out of a portal in the sky and the Avengers came to save them."
He further added that they are able to "˜explore a much darker sensibility, a more adult sensibility' through the Netflix platform. He claimed that the choreography, fights and action in Marvel's Netflix series is "˜heads and shoulders above' any other show on television. It definitely seems factual for Daredevil, but I think it's too early to comment on that since we still haven't watched Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist yet.

Emmy-Nominated Cinematographer Hired!
According to OZY, Marvel's Daredevil has hired Emmy-nominated cinematographer Martin Ahlgren to helm the principal photography of their second season. The Swedish cinematographer is best-known for his work on House of Cards Season 3 and Kanye West's music video for the song titled Power. They've added the likes of The Punisher and Elektra, so it's understandable that they will need some extra photography flair for the second season!
