Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn costume from Suicide Squad was the most popular costume for Halloween 2015, but many fans would have preferred to see her in a different one: the character’s iconic court jester costume. While that didn't happen, it surely could have!
That's because the actress tried on that costume, along with a number of others. Here's what Margot Robbie shared in a recent interview with Hello Giggles:
We tried the court jester costume, we tried the corset and skirt, we tried leather pants, we tried literally every type of costume possible for her. I really love where we ended up.
And Robbie doesn't want you to think that we won't ever see her in Harley Quinn's court jester costume - she sees the possibility of that happening in a sequel to the David Ayer flick. She added:
And who knows, maybe in the sequels we'll go with the court jester one. I think there's a world of possibilities.
Robbie would “absolutely” want to play Harley Quinn again!
Recent rumor suggests that a Suicide Squad sequel is already in the works. If that happens, would the Aussie actress want to reprise Harley Quinn? When asked, Robbie uttered the word "absolutely"! Well, that's because she is looking forward to the the August 5 release, even claiming that she is "more excited than anyone" about the movie and that she's "dying to see it". Robbie added:
I think it's going to be so cool, and I just love that there's a chick character who's that badass, and who's actually, like funnier and crazier and stronger than some of the males. I think that rarely happens.
The 25-year-old actress praised her fellow cast members, and shared that everyone on the team "gets their moment" in the movie. She claimed that working on Suicide Squad was "one of the most enjoyable experiences" of her life.
Margot Robbie also revealed that she signed on for the Harley Quinn role before there was a script or anyone else had signed. And she wasn't even familiar with comic books. But, she didn't hesitate to seal the deal when she heard David Ayer was to direct the movie. That's because she was "obsessed" with the director's work in End of Watch. She added stated that she didn't go method for Harley Quinn, unlike Jared Leto as The Joker.
