Last week brought us our first glimpse of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War (via a footage description, since the clip hasn't been released online). But this week, all eyes have turned toward the DC Extended Universe and Justice League, which is this year’s only remaining movie. We can expect that Warner Bros. will try to win over San Diego Comic Con with it (Aquaman, which will be released on the 21st of December 2018, is also confirmed for SDCC).
What can we expect at this year’s Comic Con? For starters, we’ll get our first look at Steppenwolf, Justice League’s main villain.
In 2016, we got a quick look at Darkseid's uncle via the Communion clip, and he bore almost no resemblance to the comic book version. And based on the official toys already on display at SDCC, Steppenwolf can’t look more different from what we saw in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Check him out below:
As a member of the New Gods race, Steppenwolf is much bigger than any of the Justice League members:
Of course, some people are already complaining about that the villain looks too much like Ares did in Wonder Woman. However, from what we saw in the trailer, he won't diminish in size for the actual movie, as Ares did.
Quite frankly, we don't mind Steppenwolf’s new look! It’s a big improvement over how he looked in Communion.
The pics below seem to indicate that our questions about whether Superman will be good or evil may be answered at SDCC (via Collider):
Justice League will be released on the 17th of November.
