A few days ago, two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain revealed that she’s open to taking on the role of Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, aka Poison Ivy, in David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens. And now, Bryce Dallas Howard, her co-star from The Help (fans often mistake one for the other) has also expressed interest in playing the iconic DC super villain.
A fan recently asked on Twitter whether the Jurassic World star would be willing to portray Poison Ivy. In response, Howard shared a gif of Uma Thurman's version of the character from Batman and Robin, giving a wink to George Clooney and Chris O'Donnell's superheroes. She wrote, "She's pretty bad ass."
And that's not all! A couple of hours later, the 36-year-old actress exclaimed “Holy Moly” in response to fan art showing Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne alongside her as the notorious eco-terrorist. Check out her tweets:

Howard portrayed Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3 a decade ago, and she was ready to reprise the role in Spider-Man 4. Sadly for her, the movie was never made. In addition, the actress expressed her desire to play Captain Marvel a couple of years ago, but that role eventually went to Brie Larson. It’ll be interesting see whether she lands the DC Extended Universe role this time around.
According to the latest rumor, Warner Bros. plans to release Gotham City Sirens around the Valentine's Day weekend of 2019. An earlier report suggested that the all-female movie is one of the five upcoming DCEU installments on this year’s shooting schedule. So we might come across official casting announcements soon.
Last December, a rumor surfaced online that Megan Fox was in contention to play Poison Ivy. Might a majority of fans prefer Chastain and Howard over Fox?
