Evidently, we can forget about the Deadshot and Lobo solo movies. The most recent rumors suggested that Warner Bros. has abandoned both projects.
In December 2016, the THR piece that broke the news that David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens was in the works also revealed that the studio had a solo movie for Floyd Lawton, aka Deadshot (Will Smith), in development. But the article made no mention of a writer or director for the movie.
In over a year’s time, we heard literally nothing further about the Suicide Squad spin-off. But a recent update surfaced that’s likely to disappoint fans who were excited about it. The update from DiscussingFilm passed on the news that Smith wouldn’t play Deadshot in the character’s solo movie.
Smith is still committed to return as the marksman who never misses a shot in Gavin O'Connor's Suicide Squad 2. That movie is expected to begin filming next year, although that contradicts a recent report that points towards a mid-October start. Check out the tweet below!

In response, SplashReport's Mario Robles seemed to concur, but he went on to reveal that the Lobo solo movie is suffering the same fate as the Deadshot film. Here's that tweet:

Unlike the Deadshot movie, multiple attempts have been made to produce a Main Man solo movie. Guy Ritchie was the film’s first director, and filming was scheduled to begin in early 2010. But Ritchie left the project, and the studio put it on hold for a couple of years.
In 2012, Brad Peyton signed on as writer/director. Dwayne Johnson was in consideration to play the titular role. However, Johnson signed on to play Black Adam during the following year, which led to another delay.
The studio breathed new life into the project in 2016 by hiring Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman) to write the script from scratch. We’ve had no news since then, and it’s become obvious that the movie's been left high and dry again.
