Batman v Superman – The Justice League Will Assemble

Suicide Squad

During an interview with USA Today, both Zack Snyder and David Ayer talked about this year's DC movies: Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. And a few new tidbits of information were revealed.

But first things first - Henry Cavill also talked about the Batman v Superman TV spot in which the Man of Steel meets the Batmobile. Talking about that scene, in which the huge car bounces off of Superman, the actor compared Clark Kent to a dad playing football with some kids: "He's not going to go all-out against the kids because he'll end up smashing people around. It's the idea of still wanting to have fun but no one gets hurt, so you're being careful about where your knees and elbows are going. That's what Clark is for me, but Superman is far more relaxed. Superman is dad just being dad at home.” (via Comic Book Movie) If Batman would hear this, would he feel the burn?

USA Today also featured a new pic with the Suicide Squad, which will have its next trailer debut in just a week's time.

Speaking about the movie, David Ayer said that it is more interesting to direct actors in villainous roles than otherwise, simply because heroes are too boring: "We all need good guys and everything "” yay, good guys "” but at the end of the day, they're kinda boring. They're always going to do the right thing. When you're dealing with the baddies, it's easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations." (via Comic Book Movie). Then the director went as far as saying that Jared Leto is the king of Planet Joker - are the fans convinced yet? We don't know and, quite frankly, we don't care - Leto is an excellent actor and this new version of the Joker seems even more terrifying than the previous one.

One of the heroes of Batman v Superman will cameo in Suicide Squad, as it was revealed in the trailer. Speaking about that particular scene (or scenes), Ayer said, "For me, it's a little more than just dropping a cutscene in the end credits to link projects (the reference is obvious). You really have to be thinking three movies downrange and how today's movie will impact more later-cycle projects"¦ We made him fight. He's awesome (as Batman). … You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world.

So basically Ayer confirms once again that Batman isn't too shy when it comes to catching the villains - branding fools and such is what he does on a daily basis. Maybe this is how Joker loses his teeth and needs those horrendous grills.

And now back to Batman v Superman, Zack Snyder finally revealed all the superheroes to be present in the movie. So besides Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman will also present Cyborg, Aquaman, and Flash: "I love Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman, but having Flash and Aquaman and Cyborg and to see them all standing together, it's a pretty dorky and cool experience for me. Basically every one of those characters has a logo that you would recognize without them standing there, and that's a hard thing to achieve in this pop-culture world. We have history to draw on, but we also have these new frontiers to forge.

The Trinity

No - no Green Lanterns just yet. But we already knew that. And when will the entire Justice League assemble in Batman v Superman? Most likely in the end. Either Doomsday will be too much for the Trinity, either during the montage scene rumored for the credits.

Which one of these gets you more excited? Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad?
