Spider-Man is getting a new look. Marvel has revealed the brand new suit that Peter Parker will be wearing starting with The Amazing Spider-Man #61. It appears this won’t be a one-and-done either as the suit will at the very least be used for several issues through #63. The suit was revealed via a pair of covers for the upcoming issues. Have a look.
As we can see, this is a radical departure from the classic blue and red look. The suit is white and blue with orange accents. It also appears to have some major tech upgrades as well. It’s worth pointing out that a “Stark” building can be seen in the background of the cover for issue #63. The suit was designed by artist Dustin Weaver.
“This design was really a collaborative effort between Nick Spencer, Editor Nick Lowe, and I. They reined in the weirder and more tech-y features I was bringing and helped create something that I think is simple and both futuristic and classical,” Weaver says. “I can’t wait to see Patrick Gleason really bring it to life!”
The reason for this new suit remains mysterious. Since the issues are a few months away, saying too much would venture into spoiler territory. Marvel did, however, reveal a bit, teeing up the ball for the storyline.
“Following the traumatic events of ‘Sin’s Rising,’ Peter Parker will wear this new suit for his face-off against Kingpin in the next arc of writer Nick Spencer’s hit run. Discover the mystery behind this top-secret costume when AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #61 and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #62 swing into shops this March!”
The issues are written by Nick Spence, with Patrick Gleason on art. Weaver contributed the variant covers for the upcoming issues.

This is not the first time Spider-Man has received a new suit over the years. But it is one of the most dramatic shake-ups in a long time. Perhaps only rivaled by the original black symbiote suit, which debuted in the pages of Secret Wars. Spider-Man famously sported the new suit on the cover of Secret Wars #8.
The Amazing Spider-Man #61 hits shelves on March 10.
