Marvel Comics has revealed a new batch of collected editions hitting shelves next month. The publisher took a bit of a break with the COVID-19 outbreak. But things are starting to normalize. While not totally new, these collected editions offer plenty of options for readers to enjoy.

The collected editions scheduled to hit shelves on July 1 are a mix of old and new. They include Dawn of X Vol. 6, the first Excalibur trade, a new premium hardcover for the Infinity Gauntlet storyline and a new collected edition of classic Spectacular Spider-Man issues. We also have Marvel’s Black Widow Prelude collected, a collection of golden age Sub-Mariner issues, a volume of What If? tales and a Young Avengers trade.

Check out all of July’s collected editions and synopsis.

Dawn of X Vol. 6

The Dawn of X reaches a pivotal point in its evolution! The X-Men’s Mystique goes to extraordinary lengths to get what she wants! Beast of X-Force takes matters into his own hands when a piece of new technology threatens the mutants’ nation. As the battle of Madripoor rages, can even the Marauders’ most powerful teammates turn the tide? When Apocalypse performs a sinister ritual, Excalibur’s throne of power changes hands! When Cable turns on X-23, the repercussions may tear the Fallen Angels apart! And with innocent human lives on the line, can Armor’s New Mutants escape a deteriorating situation without collateral damage?”

Excalibur TBP

“Forging a new dawn! A fresh era is beginning for mutantkind, but war rocks the magical Otherworld! And when a portal opens between Otherworld and Krakoa, magic and science collide violently – and Betsy Braddock finds herself transformed into the new Captain Britain! Betsy is joined by allies Rogue, Gambit, Jubilee, Rictor…and Apocalypse?! But whose side will they take in the Otherworld war? As the new captain faces the truth about her brother, she must choose her path forward – even as MI13 and agents of the British crown learn of her ascension! Meanwhile, Rogue faces an uncertain fate – and while she sleeps, she dreams! En Sabah Nur performs a ritual, and the throne of power changes hands…but to whom? What will happen when the rise of mutantkind confronts the reign of Morgan Le Fay?”

Infinity Gauntlet Marvel Select HC

“For the dark Titan, Thanos, the Infinity Gauntlet was the Holy Grail – the ultimate prize to be coveted above all else. With it came omnipotence: absolute control of all aspects of time, space, power, reality, the mind and the soul. But Thanos gaining supreme might meant the beginning of a dark nightmare for the entire universe. Now, on the edge of Armageddon and led by the mysterious Adam Warlock, Earth’s heroes join in a desperate attempt to thwart this nihilistic god’s insane plunge into galactic self-destruction. Should the heroes fail, the astral gods of the universe wait to step into the fray. But in such an awesome cosmic conflict, will anyone survive? “

Marvel Masterworks: The Spectacular Spider-Man Vol 3. HC

“Peter Parker and Dr. Curt Connors (a.k.a. the Lizard) have always shared a unique bond. Both are men of science, but one was gifted with powers while the other was cursed. Only together can these sometimes allies, sometimes adversaries survive the unstoppable Iguana. Then, in a two-part Annual extravaganza, comes Doc Ock! All the while, Peter’s increasingly on edge. The bizarre horror of the Swarm and a battle with Morbius, the Living Vampire, do little to help. Then, the emergence of the Schizoid Man pushes him over the line. And on the other side is the Spider-Lizard! Can our mutated hero survive? He’d better, or he won’t be able to team up with the FF against the Frightful Four!”

Marvel’s Black Widow Prelude TBP

“The hunt for the Black Widow begins here! But can anyone untangle the long and complicated trail of Natasha Romanoff’s exploits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? From spy to S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to Avenger, the enigmatic Widow has lived many secret lives. But how do these disparate episodes add up to the life of a hero – and what is the thread that connects her past to her future? Get ready for Marvel Studios’ blockbuster Black Widow solo film with this glimpse into the storied history of Natasha Romanoff, set firmly in the MCU. As all the facts are considered, the question remains: Is the Black Widow a hero – or a threat?”

Timely’s Greatest: The Golden Age Sub-Mariner By Bill Everett – The Post-War Years Omnibus HC

“Marvel proudly presents TIMELY’S GREATEST, a series of once-in-a-lifetime volumes presenting the greatest stories of the Golden Age, when Marvel was known as Timely Comics! After his service in World War II, Bill Everett returned to the Sub-Mariner without missing a beat. In fact, Everett’s art and storytelling was better than ever. Never before reprinted, his postwar Sub-Mariner and Namora tales are anarchic, energetic and utterly endearing! This volume also features Everett’s fan-favorite 1950s Sub-Mariner revival during Marvel’s Atlas Era. Alongside Namora, Princess Fen and intrepid love interest Betty Dean, Namor faces off against the nefarious Prince Byrrah, his own doppelgänger, giant crocodiles and Communists aplenty! These stories define the Sub-Mariner in a way never captured in any comic series before or since!”

What If? Classic: The Complete Collection Vol. 4 TBP

“More alternate-reality questions are answered! Imagine a world where the Fantastic Four never gained their powers – or one where Stephen Strange never became Master of the Mystic Arts! Consider the fates of the Thing and the Beast if they continued to mutate – or Spider-Man if Uncle Ben had lived! Picture Conan the Barbarian meeting Thor – or finding himself stranded in the 20th century for good! The Hulk goes berserk, Susan Richards dies in childbirth, Nova makes a life-changing decision and Galactus turns the Silver Surfer back into Norrin Radd! But what if Loki had found Mjolnir before his brother – and what if the Marvel Universe ceased to exist?! Plus: Thought-provoking tales featuring Daredevil, the Sub-Mariner, the Avengers and more! “

X-Men Milestones: Messiah War TBP

“The biggest and best adventures of Marvel’s mighty mutants – these are the X-Men Milestones! Months ago, Cyclops gave Cable custody of the first mutant born since M-Day, an infant many see as mutantkind’s last hope. Cable took her into the future but soon found himself trapped there – with the relentless Bishop in hot pursuit, intent on killing the child. Now Cyclops has finally located Cable and is sending the black-ops squad X-Force forward in time to help – but Bishop has a horrifying new ally, and X-Force will find a death trap waiting for them! Is the child called Hope the savior of mutantkind or the bringer of the Apocalypse? The past, present and future converge in one blockbuster blowout! “

Young Avengers by Gillen & McKelvie: The Complete Collection TBP

“The Young Avengers, once more with feels! And there came a day unlike any other, when Earth’s mightiest teens found themselves united against a very uncommon threat. On that day, the Young Avengers were reborn – to listen to music, break Tumblr in half and kiss. Like, a lot. Oh, and to fight the foes no adult super hero could understand! Heed the call, then – for now, the Young Avengers hang out! Hawkeye (not the Hawkguy) puts the super in hero. Marvel boy will rock your world. Miss America will kick your &*^ to another dimension. Prodigy is an ex-X-Man know-it-all. Wiccan and Hulkling bring the squee. And Loki? Oh boy, we have a Loki. They’re 18 (give or take), they’re ready to inherit the Earth – but first they must face the mother of all villains. One only they can fight. Uh-oh. Creative gestalt entity Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie (Phonogram, The Wicked +The Divine) bang their collective drum, reinventing the super-hero comic book in their own freakish image.”
