Batman is one of the most loved superhero films appearing in American comic books by DC Comics. Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, Batman does not possess any superpowers as such. He relies on his intellect and fighting skills. In the Batman movie, The Riddler was an incredible villain and very terrifying. Fans are already guessing who will be the enemies in Batman 2.
Robert Pattinson has always played surprisingly powerful role as The Batman. His film The Batman led on to become one of the highest-grossing films of 2022, receiving praise from critics and fans alike. And now, we are guessing likely villains in the upcoming sequel. So, here are the potential Batman 2 villains that we want to see in a sequel.
Hush
Hush received a lot of references in The Batman movie and is likely to be the most ideal opponent for the cape hero. Hush has this never ending Vendetta with Batman for various reasons. This is because he knows Wayne’s identity being his childhood friend. No one knows his dark side including his parents. The reporter Edward Elliot has a secret information that could bring down Wayne’s family.
Matt Reeves stated his thoughts during an interview with Twitter Movies when asked which character from the Batman comics he would love to integrate into the world of The Batman. He pointed towards Hush’s character, saying, “that’s a character that I love, that I would love to see done, and maybe we’ll get the opportunity to do it.”
Mr. Freeze
Mr. Freeze hasn’t been seen in live-action since Arnold Schwarzenegger’s portrayal in 1997’s Batman & Robin, he still looks like a potential villain to us. In his tragic history, he disguised himself as Mr. Freeze to rob banks and eventually became an enemy of Batman. Witnessing his powers on the big screen can turn out to be once-in-a-lifetime events and even Matt Reeves wants to see that kind of action. He shared his thoughts on using Mr. Freeze as a villain in future The Batman films.
“In my view, I just feel drawn to finding the grounded version of everything. So to me it would be a challenge in an interesting way to try and figure out how that could happen, even the idea of something like Mr. Freeze, that such a great story, right? I think there’s actually a grounded version of that story, which could be really powerful and could be really great.
The Court of Owls
This is the one villain that multiple The Batman cast members want to see come to life in the sequel. The Court of Owls hasn’t been around for a decade, still it holds potential to create another Batman Detective Adventure. The Court of Owls comprises of secretive contingent of the rich and influential that have ruled over Gotham for hundreds of years. Robert Pattinson is also in favour of The Court of Owls, he says:
“Court of Owls is the best one… If [the Waynes] disappear when they’re secretly running it, that would really, really be a very difficult thing for Bruce to handle. Oh, it’d be a nightmare.”
