Originally, Titans debuted on the DC Universe streaming service. The hub for all things DC, more or less, went away after HBO Max launched. All DC content shifted to the new service and DC Universe became a service purely for reading comics online. Doom Patrol, which recently released a trailer for its third season, will also be making the move when it debuts next month.
As for Titans season 3, there is much to contend with. Not only has Barbara Gordon entered the fold but we also have some new villains. Jason Todd is making a change to the dark side taking on the Red Hood persona, with Scarecrow also making his way into the mix.
Here is the synopsis for Titans season 3.
“Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. In season three, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats.”
Critics have been extremely kind to the new season so far. It holds an unblemished 100 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That bodes well for those who hope to see the team return for at least one more season. It has not yet been revealed if HBO Max plans to bring the cast back for a fourth season.
The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, Anna Diop as Kory Anders aka Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth aka Raven, Ryan Potter as Gar Logan aka Beast Boy, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl and Curran Walters as Jason Todd aka Red Hood. Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent aka Superboy, with Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall aka Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger aka Dove, Damaris Lewis as Blackfire, Savannah Welch as Barbara Gordon and Vincent Kartheiser as Dr. Jonathan Crane round out the main ensemble. Jay Lycurgo has also been added this season as Tim Drake.
The show was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, with Johns, Berlanti, Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers.
The first three episodes of Titans season 3 are streaming now on HBO Max.
