Wonder Woman 1984 SDCC Footage Leaks Online

Wonder Woman 1984 was just one of the Worlds of DC projects present at the San Diego Comic Con. And, because it started shooting last month, we didn't expect for a clip to be released for all audiences with this occasion.

But we did hope that Cheetah in her supervillain form will be revealed. It didn't happen so. Nonetheless, footage from Wonder Woman 1984 was indeed presented. Unfortunately, it won't be made available online anytime soon. And that is because it was clearly unfinished, lacking most of the special effects.

As it usually happens with anticipated flicks, a small clip from that footage was leaked online. The action takes place in a mall - something which was to be expected, since the first look at Chris Pine featured Steve Trevor in a mall.

Check it out below:

Some photos have also made their way online. You can see them below (via CBM):

Given the fact that, basically, Wonder Woman 1984 has just started shooting, it is understandable why some of the fans attending the SDCC believed that the scenes were a bit goofy. The footage presented at the convention also featured Wonder Woman running in the streets incredibly fast. As noted on CBM, it looked awkward, as if she was aimlessly flying.

Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Patty Jenkins were present on stage. As far as the movie is concerned, the actress said that Wonder Woman 1984 shouldn't be seen as a sequel, but rather as a new chapter. Patty Jenkins agreed with her, further saying that Wonder Woman 1984 won't feature more of anything from the first film, even if events from last year will be evoked:

"I never want to do more of anything for the wrong reason"¦I don't want to go to that place of "˜how do you keep it going and cash in?' in my head. I have these characters that I love and this world that I love and we can make a whole new movie that's completely unique and as strong as the first one? Of course I want to do that. But it's not "˜more' of anything, even though it's evocative of everything that happened to the first one." (Comic Book)

Wonder Woman 1984 will be released on the 1st of November 2019.
