The sequel for sci-fi classic Blade Runner will go into production next summer with Ridley Scott, the director of the original movie and Sicario's director Denis Villeneuve, in a team ready to bring on the big screen one of the best sci-fi movies ever.
Based on Philip K Dick’s 1968 novel, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", Blade Runner is a neo-noir science fiction film with the action taking place in a dystopian Los Angeles in year 2019. A big corporation is manufacturing androids for dangerous work, while special police-operatives called Blade Runners try to hunt down those of them who go rogue and illegally find refuge on Earth.
In the role of Rick Deckard, the cop who goes after the illegal Replicants, we will see Harrison Ford again. One of the greatest cinematographers of all times will also join this team. Roger Deakins (Skyfall, Sicario, Unbroken, No Country For Old Men) will reunite with Denis Villeneuve for the much-anticipated sequel to Blade Runner.
