PSA: The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Is Now Streaming On Netflix

Heads up, everyone as the Umbrella Academy season 3 is finally here. Two years after the previous season arrived on Netflix the streaming service has brought the Umbrellas back. And they’re in for another round of wild adventures. Those who have been eagerly awaiting need to wait no longer, as the entire new season is now available to stream at your leisure. Plan accordingly.

The series hails from creator Steve Blackman, who also returns to serve as showrunner and executive producer. It is based on the comic series of the same name from Gerard Way and Gabrial Ba, who also serve as co-executive producers on the show. Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg and Jeremy Webb also serve as executive producers, with Steve Wakefield and DJ Carson on board as producers.

Here is the synopsis for The Umbrella Academy season 3.

“After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.

Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) – now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?”

The cast is as big as ever with plenty of familiar faces and new ones to go along with it. The ensemble for The Umbrella Academy season 3 includes Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Colm Feore, Ritu Arya, Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton and Jordan Claire Robbins.

It remains to be seen if this is the end of the line for the show or if we’ll get a fourth season. Netflix recently was hit with a subscriber loss which sent its stock price tumbling. The company has been dealing with layoffs and restrategizing in recent months. To what degree that affects the potential continuation of this show remains to be seen. But even before the stock price plunged, relatively few Netflix originals made it to four seasons. We’ll see what the future holds. For now, a new season has arrived for all to enjoy.

The Umbrella Academy is now streaming on Netflix.
