A couple of days ago, Tom Hardy reiterated the reasons why he left Suicide Squad, as well as expressing his wish to portray Marvel's Punisher. However, this doesn't mean that he has fallen on either of the sides of the comic book movie universe.
During an interview with Collider, the actor said that he is currently working with Warner Bros (which he called his home studio) on another DC project. Care to know more? Well, check out what Tom Hardy said below!
Tom Hardy - a new DC project
To say that he was vague is an understatement, but still - after portraying Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, Tom Hardy revealed that he is currently working with Warner Bros on a new comic book project, based on a DC property.
I actually got something cooking with Warner Bros. which is also a comic book, it's a DC thing which is kind of"¦ It's really good actually, it contains elements of all kinds of stuff. From Ocean's Eleven, to Batman, you can get all the wrappers out and it would be a big, really cool, Technicolor, Pulp Fiction"¦It's a psychological [frick]fest, it's absolutely awesome. It's as if you would take Transmetropolitan and make it happen, but it's not that out there it's something which is much more real world. It could be like Heat, it could be [frick]ing awesome… try and guess (via Collider).
Care to guess what project he was talking about?
Don't even try - and that is because it might not even be a feature film: It's real estate, it's PRIME real estate which is sitting there right under everybody's nose that no one's really thought about yet and it goes TV and movie, it's awesome. I can't believe that nobody has even -I know they thought of it but no one has actually blown life into it yet (via Collider).
So what DC property is currently airing or has aired in the recent past on TV? What is Tom Hardy talking about? Well, if he will appear in another DC movie, does this mean that there is no Punisher in Tom Hardy's future?
