The CW series based on the DC comic superhero, The Flash, is currently enjoying a mid-season break. However, many of the fans aren't enjoying the break as speculations on the true identity of the super villain, the Reverse Flash, are striking their head every now and then. The mid-season finale provided clear hints indications on Dr. Harrison Wells being the man in the yellow suit. If you want to know more about it, click here.
Now, speculations aren't over yet because the comic book fans know that two Reverse Flash; one of them is Eobard Thawne aka Professor Zoom and the other's Hunter Zolomon. Some fans don't stp speculating as they don't want to believe that Greg Berlanti's team will simply throw away such clear indications on the true identity of a mysterious super villain like the Reverse Flash!
So, let's take a look at Eddie Thawne's character and try to find out if he's Professor Zoom, one of the two men in the yellow suit!
A Simpler Set Of Reasons To Start With!
A recent report by "˜Fashion & Style' narrates five simple but logical reasons of why Eddie Thawne could be the super villain. First reason is the last name "˜Thawne' which is exactly the same between the comic book and the television adaptation. That shouldn't be a simple coincident!
The second reason is that Reverse-Flash didn't kill or hurt Eddie in the mid-season finale episode. He was just pushed by the super-speedy antagonist before escaping the scene.
The next reason's to follow are simpler; Rick Cosnett's character is obsessed with The Flash, is dating Iris and is jealous of Barry.
A More Critical Approach To The Concept!
A latest "˜International Business Times' report suggests some more intricate reasons on how Eddie Thawne might be transformed into Professor Zoom later in the series. First of those comes from Rick Cosnett's statement that the writers have "˜dropped bombs' on him. He also stated that his character is "˜very much opposite of Barry'.
The report also takes into account the first two reasons depicted by the other website. It then takes a tour to the comic book where Eobard Thawne stands to be a fan of the super-speedy superhero from the future. Eobard returns back in time to meet The Flash after he has attained his powers and eventually alter into an archenemy of the superhero. Time travel has already been confirmed to arrive in The Flash, if this seems to be something new, click here for details. Now, if you consider both the simpler and the intricate approach, doesn't Eddie Thawne fit well as Professor Zoom?
Coming Back To Dr. Harrison Wells Piece!
We've already got a first look at Gorilla Grodd, so there's no doubt that this character exists in the CW series. Hunter Zolomon was crippled in the comic by the effect of an attack by Gorilla Grodd. Dr. Harrison Wells isn't crippled, but don't forget you've seen him on a wheelchair till now. Doesn't that make him a perfect match for the comic book character Hunter Zoom?
All the questions will be answered when The Flash returns with the second half of the season. But for now, let's hear from you? What do you think of the Reverse Flash enigma?
