X-Men: Apocalypse ““ What We Know after the Final Trailer

Let's get this out of the way "“ Wolverine was rumored to be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse well before the movie started shooting. And that’s because Bryan Singer released a piece of concept art showing a character assuming the mutant's posture in front of what seemed to be a giant spaceship.

But, until now, that was just a rumor. Now we know for sure that Wolverine will at least cameo in the movie.

When Days of Future Past ended, Wolverine still had his bone claws. As it was revealed at the end of the movie, he was captured by Mystique, who was disguised as William Stryker. The final X-Men: Apocalypse trailer revealed that he had already received his adamantium claws.

After the release of the final trailer, Bryan Singer said that the Wolverine scene is a pivotal one, and it isn't the only one to feature the no-nonsense mutant. So we can assume that the character's origin story won't be told on the big screen once again.

Concept art - definitely Wolverine. But is that a piece of Celestial tech (Coming Soon)

But this statement sparked some other rumors, namely that the clawed hand we see in the trailer doesn't belong to Hugh Jackman, but rather to a new Wolverine. If it is so, then we don’t know what to believe. This could be a genius move, nonetheless, since it would separate the pre-Days of Future Past timeline even more from the post-Apocalypse one.

And it would be the premise of one helluva final Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman!
