The Flash (27 July 2018)

I guess we can safely say that this movie will be delayed. Back in 2014, we heard that Seth Grahame-Smith would direct – however, he dropped out due to creative differences. In 2016, Rick Famuyiwa was announced as director – with Dope being a critical hit, he seemed like the best choice. And Famuyiwa took starting the process of casting and scouting for locations seriously: Kiersey Clemons will portray Iris West and Billy Crudup will portray Henry Allen.

However, in October of the same year, Rick Famuyiwa announced that he was leaving The Flash due to creative differences. Apparently, Warner Bros. wanted no more experiments, and it seemed that this was what the director came up with.

At the moment, despite the scheduled release date, The Flash has no director. The fact that Cyborg will also be squeezed into the movie makes me wonder what’s going on. Sure, the studio could say that Cyborg is being tested, and having him in a film about a better known Justice Leaguer might make the audiences more receptive.

But…what is going on here?!?
