Suicide Squad 2, Lobo, Deadshot

Finally, there are these movies. As expected, despite being eviscerated by the critics, Suicide Squad made enough cash to ensure a sequel. At first, David Ayer was supposed to direct the movie, and make it R-rated (as it should have been from the start). But since he’s now going to direct Gotham City Sirens…

Furthermore, given the announcement that Deadshot will also receive a solo flick, should we hold our breath for a Suicide Squad sequel any time soon? Not really. And if you’re wondering why Deadshot will have a spin-off, you’re not alone.

Lastly, Warner Bros. has wanted to film Lobo since 2009, when Guy Ritchie was set to direct. Since then, director Brad Peyton was also in talks, but he left the project (and now, apparently, he’s set to direct Black Adam). In March 2016, although Warner Bros. didn’t consider it a priority, Jason Fuchs, who penned Pan and Ice Age: Continental Drift, signed on to write the script.

And these are all of the projects that Warner Bros. has announced. There are quite a few of them. But I wonder how many will be dropped by, say, 2018 (if the first Justice League fails, it’s likely that many titles on this list will disappear).
