Gotham City Sirens

Well before Suicide Squad was released, it was reported that Warner Bros. was satisfied with Margot Robbie’s performance, and they intended to give her a spin-off focused on her Harley Quinn character. Suicide Squad may have been a critical disaster, but the studio eventually green lighted the project.

However, it won’t be a Harley Quinn standalone flick. Instead, with a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet (her IMDB page has only future projects listed), the film will focus on Harley and other DC female baddies. Called Gotham City Sirens, we suspect that it will also feature Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Furthermore, the rumors say that Harley will break up with The Joker in this one, so we can expect that Jared Leto might drop in.

David Ayer will direct – and, at this point, I don’t know what to make of that. He is a skilled director – however, big budget movies don’t seem to be his thing.
