Suicide Squad will hit theaters all across the world next year, on the 5th of August. And with a title like that and a director like David Ayer, we can say from the start that nobody is safe "“ when you are a villain strapped with a bomb (sort of and presumably) facing a greater baddie, you can even call yourself Will Smith and you will certainly face death at one point or another.
Sure enough, Suicide Squad will be a hard PG-13 flick "“ so there won't be any blood splattered all over the place. But that doesn't mean that the heroes will survive in the end. If we take a closer look at the director's last films, we can see that he doesn't really need a good reason to kill all of his main characters "“ take Fury for example, where the wimpiest of all the characters survives, while all the bigger names bite the dust.
Furthermore, Suicide Squad is just one of the first movies of the DC Expanded Universe "“ so it is still a world-building movie. And, mostly, the team is formed of second-tier characters "“ expendable characters whose deaths will serve at establishing the main baddies of the DCEU (or, at least, the main baddies for future Batman movies).
So who is going to die and who is going to live?
