Joel Edgerton

Joel Edgerton is the kind of actor who doesn’t receive the attention he deserves. Sure, he was at one time on Marvel’s list, being eyed to portray Star Lord. However, it didn’t work out. And maybe it’s for the better, especially since he is an actor that doesn’t really (want to) steal the show.

But this is great – since Justice League Dark is an ensemble movie and Constantine isn’t the jester Star Lord is, Joel Edgerton is perfect for the role. There is an aura of mystery surrounding him (not literally, of course), which would fall perfectly in line with this character.

And he does have awesome acting skills, which can be revealed in both action and dramatic roles. Warrior, Black Mass, and Midnight Special are the best examples in this case. Sure, he did have some misfires (Exodus: Gods and Kings), but who hasn’t?

Joel Edgerton hasn’t appeared just yet in a comic book movie. Maybe this is the right time for his star to shine. I am more than certain that he would make a great Constantine, just like the others on this list.
