Simon Pegg

There is literally nothing that recommends Simon Pegg as a viable actor for Constantine. He is a comedy actor, he seems to be a bit on the chubby side, and he is, basically, what Constantine isn’t. However, as we all know, he’s a geek, he’s a nerd who actually takes pride in being one.

Sure, his Constantine wouldn’t be pulled straight from the comics. However, neither was Keanu Reeves’ – and it was still considered a success. So why not Simon Pegg? The actor could have a blast playing this role, and this is always an important thing.

Plus, Pegg isn’t exactly a leading actor, his biggest and most successful movies being ensemble movies. Star Trek, Mission Impossible, and even the Cornetto Trilogy fall in this category.

So why not? I’m certain he can pull it off!
