Blink and you’ll miss it!
The superheroes are (almost) all here, in this first teaser trailer – Black Widow (who is also – maybe – holding the Sokovia Accords document), Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Falcon (who has an awesome kick-scene, if we can call it so), and so on.
We even catch a glimpse of Scarlet Witch – who, by the way, can fly now.
There is also War Machine, who might just bite the dust in this one.
Who is responsible? Well, one of these two character – either Scarlet Witch, either the Winter Soldier. Scarlet Witch is a contender because this is her MO – as we saw in Age of Ultron, she likes tearing robots (in extension, armored suits) apart. But the best chances are that Bucky delivered the final blow.
As we see in the teaser, there is a scene in which he goes straight for Iron Man’s arc reactor, as if wanting to tear it apart – without it, Tony would become helpless. Could this also be the case with War Machine? It sure seems so, since his suit has no arc reactor – just one big gaping hole, with wires hanging out of it.
Besides these all, we also catch just a small glimpse of Agent 13, as well as of Martin Freeman’s mysterious character – in the same scene, of course (most likely when Cap and Falcon’s outfits are taken away).
Crossbones also appears somewhere in the background – way in the background!
These are, basically, the teams, with one notable absence – Vision, who is the game-changer. He is, apparently, on the side of Tony Stark. The fact that he isn’t in the trailers could be explained in two ways.
The first one is that the special effects are not completed (and this is a pretty anorexic explanation). The second one is that he drops out of the Civil War, realizing that it is madness – which would go along his philosophy, which was captured in Age of Ultron. Furthermore, he might leave just because he has other more important business to attend to – and James Gunn did say that he’d love to have Vision in Guardians of the Galaxy…
Ant-Man can’t be seen also in the first teaser for Captain America III – most likely he is tiny already (which also means that he is in every scene…) Hawkeye gets very little screen time, while there is no Spider-Man in sight.
