Djimon Hounsou played the comic book character Papa Midnite in Francis Lawrence’s Constantine.

In 2014, he returned to the genre in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, in which he portrayed Korath the Pursuer in the movie.

Laura Vandervoort

Laura Vandervoort played Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, in Smallville.

And she’s the one playing the supervillain Indigo in the CBS series Supergirl. Both of these characters appeared in the comic books.
