Rumors About The Joker Appearing In Justice League Are NOT True!

Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been filming in Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios in England for more than five months now, and will almost certainly move to some other locations before finally wrapping up production. Visit Westfjords, the website of an Icelandic travel guide, recently reported that the movie will shoot at a small village in Westfjords, Iceland named Djúpavík in October or November.

In their report, the site mentions Jared Leto, who was introduced to us as The Joker in last month’s Suicide Squad, as a Justice League cast member.

While relying on a tourism website with such casting news is surely not a good idea, many still assumed that it could be true, considering the fact that Leto was in London toward the end of June. You can check out one of the actor’s tweets below!

Among the many rumors recently posted on Reddit (via Screen Geek), there’s one that claims that the Justice League movie will have “a funny scene” featuring Leto’s The Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, in which the two are “committing a crime” and waiting for Batman to show up.

Ben Affleck’s character does show up, but with the entire League! Harley and her “puddin’” experience a “Well…shit” moment as they “just stand there” with no idea what to do next.

However, according to The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez, the rumors about The Joker making an appearance in Justice League are baseless. The Clown Prince of Crime is not in the November 17, 2017 release. Here’s how Umberto debunks the rumors using his Twitter account:

Many were disappointed with the limited screen time for Jared Leto’s character in the recently released David Ayer flick, so maybe it's better to avoid bringing the character back for a cameo or some other not-so-significant role.

But with Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke set to appear as possibly the main antagonist in the untitled Batman standalone movie, it’s pretty unclear when The Joker will go head to head with Batman in the DC Extended Universe.
