Ant-Man and the Wasp: Paul Rudd Spoils Post-Credits Scene

Fans were a bit skeptical when it was announced that Paul Rudd would play Ant-Man in the MCU. But things turned out very well, and the first movie was very funny. And it looks as though pairing Rudd with Evangeline Lilly (the Wasp) for Ant-Man and the Wasp was another stroke of genius.

Even so, there may be a problem, even if Rudd turns in another great performance in the sequel. He may have irritated the Marvel bosses by giving away a fairly major spoiler while promoting the movie. Read on if you’d like to know exactly what Rudd gave away!

On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Meyers asked whether there were any connections between Ant-Man and the Wasp and Infinity War. He also asked why Ant-Man and the Wasp didn't join the fight against Thanos. Rudd’s response:

People have asked me about [Ant-Man and The Wasp] and this – I don’t know if I’m supposed to say it, but I’ll say it – it happens kind of concurrently. It’s very important, because it doesn’t exist in a vacuum. You have to stay through to the end, because when you see this thing, through those post-credit scenes, there’s mind-blowing stuff that ties into Infinity War (via Screen Rant).

Rudd wisely stopped talking right there, but he’d already revealed how Ant-Man and the Wasp would end. He also answered the big question: While the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy were facing off against Thanos, Ant-Man and the Wasp were on their own personal mission.

To be noted, the post-credits scene doesn't spoil the movie, although it does expose the Ant-Man and the Wasp/Infinity War connection, and it leads directly into Avengers 4.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will arrive in theaters on July 6, 2018.
