The streamer previously released a first look at the upcoming sequel series. But that was merely a clip. Here, we have a full trailer that offers a comprehensive look at the action-packed tale. The animation is impressive and it looks very cinematic. It looks like everything that fans of He-Man could possibly want. It will, essentially, play like a movie as the season consists of 5, 25-minute episodes.
Here is the synopsis for Masters of the Universe: Revolution.
“It’s technology versus magic when He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and something more in Masters of the Universe: Revolution – the new epic chapter in the battle for Castle Grayskull! The newly mechanized Skeletor, armed with the might of Motherboard, attacks the heart of Eternia while Prince Adam grapples with a new responsibility and what that means for him as He-Man! Adam is forced to choose between the scepter or the sword, and a life as either the King or the Champion! Meanwhile, the new Sorceress Teela searches for the secret of Snake Magic in the mists of Darksmoke to rebuild a magic realm and help He-Man hold off the greatest threat Eternia has ever faced: the return of the despot Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Horde Empire!”
Masters of the Universe: Revelation was a mixed bag at the time of its release. Critics were very much in favor of Smith’s take on the material. However, a great many audience members were displeased as the story subverted expectations. It appears that Netflix took the criticisms to heart and is here to offer up something more in line with what fans were hoping for in the first place.
The cast is once again led by Chris Wood as He-Man and Mark Hamill as Skeletor. They were both on board for 2021’s Revelation as well. The ensemble voice cast is rounded out by Diedrich Bader, Melissa Benoist, Liam Cunningham, Keith David, Lena Headey, Griffin Newman, William Shatner, Tiffany Smith and Tony Todd. Smith executive produces the series alongside Ted Biaselli, Rob David, Christopher Keenan and Frederic Soulie.
Master of the Universe: Revolution premieres on Netflix on January 25.
