Marvel’s Spider-Man Season 3 Returns This Weekend, New Clips Released

Marvel’s Spider-Man returns for a third season this weekend. To help get fans ready for the show’s return, two new clips have been released that preview the action to come. And they are full of goodness for fans of Venom and symbiote action. Have a look.

The first clip sees the web-slinger wrangling with a couple of highly-advanced and dangerous robots, with his buddy Max getting caught up in the mess. Next up, the second clip has Spidey rocking a new black and white suit as he heads to a bridge where a symbiote is causing major destruction. Our hero manages to squeeze in a quip about traffic before the fight truly takes off, with Spider-Man getting the better end of the deal.

This season is titled Spider-Man: Maximum Venom, which means viewers can expect plenty more symbiote shenanigans where that came from. The title seems to be a riff on the iconic Maximum Carnage storyline which was published by Marvel Comics in the 90s.

A synopsis for Marvel’s Spider-Man season 3 was also revealed, which reads as follows.

“The brand new season of Marvel’s Spider-Man follows Spidey as he is pushed to his breaking point after Venom summons an earth-shattering threat from its home planet. Comprised of six one-hour specials, we’re going to see a lot of familiar faces as Marvel characters including Captain Marvel, Groot, Dr. Strange, and Star-Lord, all make appearances!”

The season 3 voice cast has added quite a few notable guest stars. This includes Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”) as Head Administrator, Sofia Wylie (Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) as Ironheart/Riri Williams, and Zombies 2 stars Meg Donnelly, Kylee Russell, and Carla Jeffery as Symbiote Sisters Scream, Scorn and Mania, respectively.

Also this season, Mystery Science Theater 3000 star Felicia Day joins Marvel’s Spider-Man: Maximum Venom as Mary Jane Watson, who makes her debut appearance in the new season. The show stars Robbie Daymond as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Ben Pronsky as Venom, Fred Tatasciore as Max Modell, Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales, Melanie Minichino as Anya Corazon/Spider-Girl, Laura Bailey as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider, Scott Menville as Grady Scraps, Max Mittelman as Harry Osborn/Hobgoblin, Yuri Lowenthal as Curt Connors and Nancy Linari as Aunt May.

Marvel’s Spider-Man — “Web of Venom Pt. 1 and Pt. 2″ airs Sunday, April 19 on Disney XD.
