The Brood
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding rapidly, and more and more alien species will appear in the coming movies – so there’s no reason why the dangerous Brood can’t be introduced in time for the Captain Marvel movie.
The Brood are a race of insectoid, parasitic, extraterrestrial beings who mindlessly follow their queen around the universe, with the sole aim of infecting other species with their eggs. They have fought Carol Danvers in her various forms in the comics – and they could very well do so in the MCU.
Given that the Captain Marvel movie comes after the first Avengers: Infinity War movie, the Avengers could be incapacitated, leaving Danvers as Earth’s first line of defense. Not only could she fight the Brood, but their arrival could trigger the arrival of the Guardians of the Galaxy on Earth, with the intention of helping Danvers fend them off before joining the fight against Thanos in the second Infinity War offering.
Time for another alien race now – one that already exists in the MCU – so let’s continue.
