X-Men: Apocalypse is the final comic book blockbuster of the year (which doesn't mean that it is the final comic book movie). As the final installment of the First Class reboot, the movie is supposed to reintroduce the audiences to the original X-Men roster, including in here Cyclops and Jean Grey (of course, there are other young mutants who will also be featured).
Nonetheless, even if this is the final purpose of the flick, we all know that the stars are the villains. And leaving aside the larger than life (sometimes literally) Apocalypse, the Horsemen are characters we have always wanted to see on the big screens. This year, this honor belongs to Magneto, Storm, Psylocke and Angel.
As the movie is coming closer to its release, it makes sense for the marketing campaign to continue pushing on. And this time the studio has released some of the most awesome character posters we have seen thus far.
Check them all out below, starting with Magneto, the Horseman of War!
What is very-very interesting to these posters is what we can see in the smaller details. Until now, none of the clips released by Fox have revealed the names of the horsemen. However, as we can see in these new posters, it is pretty clear whom is who.
Also, based on the characters themselves and on the interviews we've seen until now, it makes sense to have Psylocke as Pestilence, given her oversexualized role, Storm as Famine given her powers over the weather (as well as her childhood spent on the streets), and Magneto as War given his continuous battle against humankind. On the other hand, we know close to nothing about Angel, other than the fact that he was also saved by Apocalypse.
What do you think? We dig these cool new posters!
