Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine since the year 2000, and there've been seven separate X-Men movies where he's played the mutant. In last April, Hugh expressed he is 99.9% sure that Wolverine 3 will be his last appearance as Logan. We know that, but what we don't know is whether the 3 March, 2017 venture is the only movie left where we'll find him playing Wolverine! There's an X-Men venture named Apocalypse to hit the theaters a year before Wolverine 3, but there hasn't been any confirmation on whether Hugh Jackman's Wolverine will be a part of it.
Wolverine To Return In X-Men: Apocalypse?
In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, the 46 year old Australian star was asked if he's going to appear in Apocalypse. Hugh skipped providing a straightforward answer saying that he's "not at liberty to tell exactly what's going on." But he admitted that he's been speaking to the makers which might be a slight indication to his playing a part in the movie. If X-Men: Apocalypse doesn't cast Hugh Jackman, it will be the first of the franchise's movie without him.
X-Men: Apocalypse To Tie Into Wolverine 3?
When asked about the progress of Wolverine 3, Hugh Jackman said that he's been working hard along with the writer David James Kelly on the story. At one point, he uttered something that might force you to imagine a bridge between X-Men: Apocalypse and Wolverine 3! He stated that there are some very exhilarating stuff about "integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie." Now, if they are planning to integrate the X-Men world, possibilities of Apocalypse tying directly into Wolverine 3 are opened up!
